The Department of Employment and Training funded a one day Action Accident course for woman in the community. The course was delivered by St John Ambulance.

The course will help the women who are studying Horticulture as this is one unit they had to do.CDEP workers who work with the Pensioners and at the Family Centre and Carers for frail and aged people also participated in the course as well as three Teacher Assistants from Belyuen Primary School

The ladies are:

Zoe Singh, Katina Winsley, Gloria Singh, Evelyn Mardi, Christine Smiler, Linda Yarrowin, Shirley Bigfoot, Leeanne Twomey, Samantha Bangun, Lynette Fejo, Catherine Moreen and Nicky Jorrock.

11 people graduated from the course.

Belyuen Council are now looking to run a First Aid Course for the men.
