The Belyuen Community Government Council welcomes the recent announcement that a $650,000 of funding has been made available by the Australian and NT Government to upgrade three remote airstrips including the Belyuen airstrip. The funding is being made available under the Australian Government’s Remote Airstrip Upgrade Program.
Council President Zoe Singh said "The airstrip provides critical medical support for the community and we welcome the government's commitment to remote communities".
